Aerial Violin

Violinist, Nathalie is the first to have developed a truly acrobatic aerial violin act in 2007. Combining her incursions in dance, martial arts, gymnastics and yoga, she wanted to push the limits and explore the arts of circus. Since 2007, she has trained with Marc Gauthier (Cirque Éloize) and Geneviève Dorion-Coupal (Cirque du Soleil) to elaborate various aerial choregraphies. She premiered her first aerial act live on television on the show “L’Heure de Gloire” (Radio-Canada, March 2008) in front of more 1/2 million viewers. She has baffeled audiences since than on various occasions: “Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame” at Air Canada Center, the “NHL All – Star Game” at the Bell Centre, “La Vie est un Cirque” (TV5, 2009 and 2012), the Oylers Opening Ceremony (Rexall Place, 2009), the Finals of Star Academy (TVA, 2009), the Dyades in duet with Robert Charlebois (2009) and for the television special: “François Léveillé: En toute intimité” (Super Écran)”.

Known for her great stage presence, her virtuosity and her versatilty, she has collaborated on stage or in the studio with the greatest including: Sarah Mclachlan, Lucciano Pavarotti, Wynton Marsalis, Moist, Gino Vannelli, Garou, Roch Voisine, Anne Murray, Richard Cocciante, Isabelle Boulay, Lara Fabian, Bruno Pelletier, Nanette Workman, Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloïze, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Opéra de montréal, the SMCQ and the Ensemble contemporain de montréal, as well as been a member of numerous house bands for television shows and specials.

Nathalie was also backup vocalist on many tours and events (Garou, Roch Voisine, Canada Day). Furthermore she is a producer, composer and arranger for television soundtracks. She composed and produced “Messmer: transe hypnotique” for the television special “Messmer: Drôlement mystérieux” (Entourage, TVA). More recently, she produced and composed the themesong for the prime time SRC Network television show “Prière de ne pas envoyer de fleurs” hosted by Patrice L’Écuyer and produced by Zone3.

She is finishing a Master’s Certificate in FIlm and Television Music with the Berklee scholl of Music as well as studying Composition and Production of Electronic Music.​
